Bastien Deschamps was born in Paris in 1990. After graduating from the BTS Audiovisuel in Saint-Quentin he began working as a sound engineer (Zèbre de Belleville, Golden Coast Festival), lighting designer (Comédie de la Passerelle, Théâtre Pixel) and venue manager (Le Triton, French Institute of Scotland). In 2015 he decided to take the road and dedicate himself to photography full time. He mainly traveled through Russia (he spend two winters in Siberia, around the Baikal lake and Yakutia), China, Japan, India, the Middle-East and the United States. In 2018 he received a scholarship from the Wall Street Journal to attend to the International Center of Photography where he is currently enrolled as a student of the Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism program.
