Wipe

This series begins with pornographic images circulating online, rephotographed from the screen with a Game Boy Camera.

Porn is treated here as an industrial stream: bodies produced to be seen, repeated, optimized, consumed. Sexuality exists first as image, before any experience. Already standardized, compressed, made machine-readable.

Designed as a toy, the Game Boy Camera operates here as a tool of sabotage. It degrades an image built for maximum visibility. It compresses an image already compressed. What was meant to arouse becomes a signal: poor, unstable, barely legible.

The resulting image is printed on an absorbent, disposable surface. The surface does not extend the image: it ends it. The image no longer produces desire, only a residue.

This work shows nothing.

It records a saturation.
